Bobby B Retiring

After 14 years with the band, Bobby B has taken the Risky Business OTD* Retirement Plan and moved to Las Vegas. Besides singing lead vocals and first and second tenor, Bobby took care of about a million behind-the-scenes tasks for us. He will be greatly missed. He can be found most days in the ninety degree water of his pool, which is heated only by the hundred and god-knows-how-many -degrees air around it. You can still write to him at bobbyb@risky-biz.com. Why not drop him a line?

* OTD = Older Than Dirt

Bobby B's Bio

Bobby is a veteran of the doo-wop scene and has been in Risky Business longer than anyone except Ralph. Besides singing first and second tenor he is the offical Keeper of Hats and Minister of the Department of Feedback. He also serves as Ralph's lieutenant, rounding up the "troops" in time for the next set or calling the guys with updates when Ralph is away on the Ponderosa.

Bobby is our on-stage Vocal Conductor, using hand signals and cryptic instructions to guide the background singers through the oohs and aahs of the less-familiar 50s numbers that crop up when Ralph asks for audience requests. He is also something of an expert on visiting National Monuments by accident. Ask him sometime.

Before joining Risky Business, Bobby sang with the Excellents and Vito and the Salutations. He steps out front (and into a different decade) to sing lead on several Rolling Stones songs, Old Time Rock 'n' Roll, Good Golly Miss Molly and the dreaded Song Whose Name May Not Be Mentioned (Initials: C.I.B.) He also sings, talks, cries and drags himself (and his partner) around the floor in a truly unique rendition of "Valerie", (whenever Valerie is available)
